In developing the curriculum for the be hospitable® Traveler program, The Hilton Family of Hotels pulled together its hotel team members and a select group of outside experts with backgrounds in travel, cultural awareness and character development. Each of our experts provided their unique perspectives on hospitality and gave personal insights into the dos and don'ts of international travel to promote cultural understanding and hospitable behavior among both Team USA and business and leisure travelers.
Barbara Garrison

Barbara Garrison has served as the Sales and Service Coordinator at the Homewood Suites by Hilton – St. John's Town Center in Jacksonville, FL for three years. Born with a self-proclaimed "traveling gene," Garrison has lived in seven different cities across the United States and spent 18 years across the Pacific in the Philippines and Japan. She loves the culture and customs of the Far East and still keeps in touch with the many friends she made while living abroad. Garrison enjoys sharing her passion for travel and diverse cultures with fellow staff and guests at the Homewood Suites by Hilton – St. John's Town Center.
