In developing the curriculum for the be hospitable® Traveler program, The Hilton Family of Hotels pulled together its hotel team members and a select group of outside experts with backgrounds in travel, cultural awareness and character development. Each of our experts provided their unique perspectives on hospitality and gave personal insights into the dos and don'ts of international travel to promote cultural understanding and hospitable behavior among both Team USA and business and leisure travelers.

Christian Sussman

Christian Sussman has served as the Chief Concierge at the Conrad Hong Kong for nine years, gladly sharing city and cultural knowledge with guests to enhance their experiences in Hong Kong. Sussman enjoys arranging special interest guided tours – from Feng Shui tours to Dragon Boat race exhibitions – to give guests a better understanding of the city's local culture, festivities and traditions.

After apprenticing in his native Germany and starting his career at the world renowned Dorchester Hotel in London, Sussman has gained over two decades of concierge experience.
