In developing the curriculum for the be hospitable® Traveler program, The Hilton Family of Hotels pulled together its hotel team members and a select group of outside experts with backgrounds in travel, cultural awareness and character development. Each of our experts provided their unique perspectives on hospitality and gave personal insights into the dos and don'ts of international travel to promote cultural understanding and hospitable behavior among both Team USA and business and leisure travelers.

Jennifer Zimmerman started her self-proclaimed "hospitality adventure" when she joined the Doubletree Family in Austin, TX as a Human Resources Assistant in 2002. She became a member of the Doubletree CARE Committee and served as its president for two years, overseeing various guest service, community service and associate satisfaction initiatives. Zimmerman's time as CARE Committee president provided her with the desire to directly impact guest service. After serving as the property's Front Desk Supervisor and Assistant Front Office Manager, Zimmerman was recently promoted to Catering Sales Manager, building loyalty among Doubletree's guests. Jennifer Zimmerman on Thoughtfulness: Using a genuine compliment goes a long way when traveling abroad. Take time to learn the local phrases for "please" and "thank you" and use them throughout your stay. |
